The random on the iPod is just terrible. I hear the same albums over and over and over.

I actually have ot agree. I think it has something to do with the cacheing that the iPod does to try to prevent skipping. My guess is they grab a lot of songs that are next to each other on the hdd. But yeah it does suck.
I recommend owning a lot of music that you really don’t like and then hope it doesn’t get played. When it doesn’t get played you’ll actually be happy that the random feature doesn’t work. At least that is what usually works for me. 🙂
Is there a way to ‘change it’ ?? Updating the ipod sorware does anything for the random feature ?
