Before this page completely expires I should say something, but as is often the case when I’ve waited too long too much has happened and I don’t know where to start.
So, I’ll start with last night. I bought the backpack I will use for my trip. It’s a Kelty Redwing 3100 and it’s pretty sweet. This morning I did a test pack and was able to get 2 pairs of jeans, 3 shirts, a sweater, plenty o’ socks and underwear, towel, laptop, various electronics and bathroom supplies in there with room to spare and it was super comfortable. Much easier than my last jaunt where I was carrying half of that and it felt heavier. And it has an ice axe loop. Gonna need that.
I got the pack at Bass Pro Shop, which just opened in Olathe. Courtney and I had an excellent dinner at Carrabas and then decided to check the place out. It’s pretty big. And woodsy. Yup.
Um. I took this week off work to catch up on various things. Did the Explorer’s brakes, did Courtney’s brakes, read a lot. Crap like that.
Um.
You sir need a better life. 🙂
